HireNet's Comprehensive Applicant Tracking System

HireNet's basic recruiting solution includes a full-featured Applicant Tracking System. All staffing and candidate-related activities, from the initial request for authorization to hire, to final selection and "on-boarding" of the selected applicant are included, at no additional cost. HireNet's customers can manage their entire recruiting function from within their HireNet account, or pick-and-choose just the features they want, and integrate those features with their in-house Applicant Tracking System. A brief overview of the major recruiting tools is provided below.

Online Requisition Management

The online Requisition Manager allows Staffing Departments or Professional Recruiters to create "authorization to hire" forms, or requisitions, circulate the forms to obtain the necessary approvals, specify the routing sequence, and track approval status as the form works its way through the approval process. Once approved, the requisition becomes a permanent part of the online "job file" and can also be used to populate much of the information on the Job Posting.

Job Postings

Job Postings can be created in several different ways: 1) From information contained on requisitions, 2) From Job Descriptions stored online, 3) From "scratch" by simply copying and pasting information. Once a job posting is created, it is automatically routed to hundreds of job banks via the HireNet Broadcast Network. It is automatically added to the appropriate Job Landing Page and submitted to Google, Yahoo and Bing. The job posting is also automatically distributed via email or text message to any job seeker with a matching Job Alert.

If the recruiter desires, the posting can be added to Simply Hired, Craigs List, and Back Page using the Job Posting Dashboard, and advertised on Social Media Networks like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter via RSS Feeds.

Candidate Screening Tools

Candidate screening tools can be quickly developed and attached to the job posting. Once attached to a job posting, all applicants are invited to complete the screen(s) immediately following completion of an online job application. HireNet provides customers with simple tools for designing three different types of screens:

  • General Information Screen. The General Information Screen typically collects information on items like work availability (Can you work weekends? Can you work evenings? Etc.), work eligibility (do you have a legal right to work in the United States? Do you have a valid driver's license? Etc.) or background information (Have you ever been convicted of a Felony? Have you previously worked for this company? Etc.). General information questions can take the form of Yes/No questions, True/False questions, Multiple Choice questions, or "Fill-in-the-Blank" questions.
  • Skills Survey Screen. Skills Surveys provide a list of job-specific skills and have the applicant self-assess his or her own proficiency and experience in each skill. The applicants' assessments can then be compared to a skills profile for the job to determine skills match.
  • Job Compatibility Screen. A Job Compatibility Screen asks applicants to rank-order themselves on 10 "job dimensions" previously identified as most important for successful job performance. The candidates' profiles are then compared to the job profile to evaluate degree of compatibility.

Recruiters can pick-and-choose the best combination of screens for each job.

In addition to screens completed by candidates, the HireNet Applicant Tracking System also includes an online Reference Checking System and an online system for collecting feedback from interviewers.

Resume Storage and Retrieval

HireNet customers receive a fully-searchable database with unlimited storage for resumes. Resumes can be retrieved by keyword combinations, by position for which candidates applied or are being considered, by city and/or state of residence, or by candidate name when searching for a specific candidate file.

The applicant tracking system also includes a Resume Parser to streamline the process of importing resumes received via email.

In addition to the capability to store and search "Company-owned" resumes, HireNet customers also have unlimited access to HireNet's database of almost 1,000,000 resumes, all posted or updated within the last year.

Applicant Workflow Software

Recruiters receive a comprehensive Workflow Management System that streamlines the staffing process. Special features include:

  • A summary of all candidates attached to each position.
  • The ability to rank candidates' match to job requirements, based on data collected through General Information Screens, Skill Surveys, and/or Compatibility Screens.
  • "Employer Inboxes" where recruiters can place the best-qualified candidates for viewing and action by Hiring Managers.
  • A tool for scheduling and monitoring the status of interviews.
  • Collecting interview feedback from anyone that interviews an applicant.
  • Automatically storing EEO data on each applicant.
  • Sorting and storeing applicants by disposition.
  • Preparing offer letters and supporting documents.

The Workflow Management System automatically stores a "History File" for each applicant so at any time the recruiter can determine where each applicant is in the screening and selection process.

Comprehensive Reporting System

A complete set of reports are available by Company, by Recruiter, and by Hiring Manager to assist you in monitoring the volume and effectiveness of staffing activities.

Talent Management

The applicant tracking system includes a system for delivering timely messages, by email, text message, or RSS feed, to one or one thousand candidates. You can easily retrieve lists of prospective candidates and announce new employment opportunities. Or advise all applicants on a candidate slate of the current status of a job. Or simply send company updates to everyone in your Talent Pool.
