Referral Recruiting

HireNet provides a comprehensive system for tracking candidate referrals from the time they are initially submitted, all the way through the applicant tracking and screening process, to final disposition. We also provide tools for your use in assigning "referral reward levels" on a job-by-job basis, occupational category basis, location basis, degree-of-difficulty basis, or any other criteria you feel is appropriate for your referral program. Referrals can be cash-based, which is the most common basis for referrals, or merchandise based. Referral programs can include milestones (for example: one reward for referring a candidate that meets the basic job requirements and a second, higher reward if a referral is hired). The most common referral programs offer a single reward, typically in the form of cash or gift certificate, payable after a referred candidate begins employment, or completes a probationary period. Our system tracks every referral and the associated referral source, notifies you when a reward is due, specifies the reward due and the recipient, and provides the data needed to track the cost of your referral program over time.

Candidate Referral Sources

We recommend using a comprehensive referral program that invites referrals from as many different sources as possible, including:

  • Current employees,
  • Former employees, such as retirees,
  • Company recruiters (can be factored into an incentive or bonus program),
  • Professional recruiters,
  • Facebook Friends
  • Twitter Followers,
  • LinkedIn Connections and Groups
  • Others (Stockholders, Customers, etc.) interested in your Company.

You have complete flexibility when selecting groups to include or exclude.
